Are you struggling to find motivation or purpose in your life? Feel like you've got it all nailed down but feel like something is missing still?
The truth is that you're right, you know exactly when things aren't right for you. You know this better than anyone else, an expert on your own intuitive thoughts. The problem is that you've got to do something about this issue you've now discovered. These things don't just fix themselves, and even if they did it wouldn't be teaching us much in the process.

As we get older we discover that we're often seeking a more comfortable life, one further from the extremes in weather, less physical exertion and stress. But, these are the things that can lead to knowledge and understanding, profound revelations that progress us as a race. The childlike excitement for the world leads to some of the most incredibly discoveries as we're able to be sustained by the excitement and driven by our imagination.
My point is that if we were left to live a life of comfort and convenience then we'd have no purpose. No drive or motivation to discover and endure the plethora of life lessons. We'd become a mass of similarity, without the character defining experiences that are responsible for making us so different and unique.

Nobody likes discomfort, we like what the discomfort can bring to our lives as a result of enduring it. The chemicals released in our body as a result of physical exertion or the comparative calm after a period of intense chaos. Without these extremes in differences juxtaposed life would meld into a bland magnolia wash. The extremes and everywhere in-between create a reality where we can have interesting conversations about our experiences and learn form each other. The discomfort unites us regardless of our differences.

What does any of this have to do with feeling as though something is missing in our lives? Well, when was the last time you challenged yourself? Made yourself uncomfortable in the pursuit of furthering yourself?
The comfort is a trap, comfort now is too often discomfort later. Taking the easy option will often make our lives more difficult later on. Learning something new can go against our comfortable known current reality. Why would we change if we are surviving just fine? I'd question is surviving is really living, it certain isn't thriving!

Maybe after all of this you just need to reconnect with yourself again, that inner child so innocent and excited about the wonders in the world, exploring more, getting out there and moving your body. Or maybe you want to challenge me on this drivel and how I could possible spout such nonsense? I challenge you, do something uncomfortable and learn from the experience you gain as a result.
